2009 Schools Spectacular and 2010 Ensembles Auditions

 

Thank you for your application for the 2010 Instrumental Ensembles and/or 2009 Schools Spectacular.

 

This year there are two sets of audition requirements – SET A and SET B.

 

2009 Schools Spectacular applicants MUST prepare Set A. If you are also applying for 2010 Ensembles, your School Spectacular audition will count as your 2010 Instrumental Ensembles audition.

 

Students not applying for Schools Spectacular and only applying for 2010 Instrumental Ensembles are required to prepare either Set A OR Set B. Please choose the set that best demonstrates your current playing ability. It is highly recommended that you discuss this with your instrumental teacher.

 

If you applied for a Symphonic Ensemble and a Jazz Ensemble you are required to prepare the classical excerpts and the jazz excerpts. You are also required to attend two auditions. Please check both the classical timetable and the jazz timetable.

 

What do I need to do now?

Step 1:	Download the audition timetable, find your name and audition time. If you are auditioning for Jazz and Classical ensembles, be sure to check both timetables.

Step 2:	Download the audition requirements package for your instruments. Step 3:	Read through your audition requirements carefully and choose the set that best shows off your ability as a player. All students MUST register upon arrival.

 

 

New Members/Applicants

 

New members will be required to pay a $25 audition fee.
