The Ensembles

Instrumental Music Ensembles for 2010 include:

• Symphony Orchestra
• String Sinfonia
• Two Symphonic Wind Ensembles
• Two Stage Bands

Auditions will be held in late 3rd term.  Students playing all woodwind, brass, percussion and string instruments are invited to apply. There are also limited places for students who play keyboard, guitar and bass guitar.

2010 Applications

Applications for participation in the 2010 Instrumental Music Ensembles have now opened.

 

All applicants (including current members) are required to download, complete and return a Student Application Form. Use the link below to access this form.

Applications for 2010 close on Wednesday, 2 September 2009.

 

Late applications will be accepted until Monday, 21 September 2009.

 

Details of audition requirements and the audition timetable will be published on this webpage on Wednesday, 9 September 2009.

 

Rehearsals and performances

All ensembles rehearse weekly after school hours during term. Rehearsals are conducted in central venues close to public transport.

 

A range of performances are scheduled throughout the year. Some ensembles may also undertake a tour.

 

Rehearsals are led by a team of talented and enthusiastic conductors and tutors.
