The Premier's Spelling Bee is about engaging all students with spelling. The following document, developed by English K-6 Curriculum, contains activities that can be used in the classroom to reinforce the four forms of spelling knowledge.
Most of these strategies would first be modelled by the teacher, then used in guided practice for groups with similar needs, before students would be expected to use them independently.

The document below has been developed through suggestions from School Spelling Bee Coordinators who have previously participated in the Premier’s Spelling Bee. It contains activity ideas that can be used in the in-school phase of the competition as a way of selecting Regional representatives.
