NSW Department of Education and Training: The Arts Unit

Electronic

"Seeing Is Believing" (Caitlin Keen, Angel Luatuana, Max Rodriguez and Alai Ahio, Lethbridge Park Public School)Possibilities for works in this category involve using equipment that may include:

  • a scanner
  • a digital camera
  • a photocopier
  • software packages such as Photoshop, Photo Deluxe or Kidpix Studio

Why not consider:

  • experimenting with a range of papers and combining electronically generated images with other forms.
  • using digital media to create artworks or to manipulate existing images.
  • using a photocopier as a way of layering and altering images.

There are also hundreds of examples of student works and lessons available on the Teaching Resources CD available through The Arts Unit. For a more "hands-on" approach, why not look at attending one of the Operation Art Workshops which are held in many locations across New South Wales.
