Mixed Media

Processes for works in this category could include:

• collage: fising materials, images and objects onto a 2D surface.
• photomontage: producing a flat surface collage using photographs.
• decollage: cutting through a collage to produce a layered effect.

Why not consider:

• combining mixed media processes with other forms such as drawing and painting.
• using student's own photographs for collage and/or decollage.

There are also hundreds of examples of student works and lessons available on the Teaching Resources CD available through The Arts Unit. For a more "hands-on" approach, why not look at attending one of the Operation Art Workshops which are held in many locations across New South Wales.
