An opportunity exists for visual arts teachers to assist ‘behind the scenes’ in the development of ARTEXPRESS exhibitions for 2010. This initiative is designed to support teachers and schools in developing students’ Visual Arts performance. Preference will be given to teachers who have not taught year 12 in 2009. The role will include providing assistance to the ARTEXPRESS coordinator in preparing works for exhibition, developing exhibition materials and assisting the ARTEXPRESS photographer.

An enthusiastic interest in Higher School Certificate Visual Art and willingness to work as part of a team is all that is required to apply. Successful applicants will work with the ARTEXPRESS team for a period of two consecutive weeks. New scheme teachers may wish to include this experience as teacher identified hours for the NSWIT accreditation.

Four successful applicants – two for each session below - will be selected:

First Session – 9 November to 20 November

Second Session – 23 November to 3 December

Hours: 9am- 4pm

Where: Sydney Olympic Park

The cost of casual relief will be covered by ARTEXPRESS
