2009 NSW Public Schools Drama Company

Season Two - Chatroom

About the play

Chatroom is set in cyberspace where six fifteen year olds type and chat. It is a chilling and powerful tale of manipulation and the ultimate act of teenage rebellion. The Harry Potter chatroom, the Britney Spears chatroom and the Teenage chatroom are all neutral spaces where the audience, as well as the youngsters, find themselves manipulated.

"One of the most thrillingly enjoyable evenings I've had in the theatre" Sunday Times (London)

"Chatroom is a sixty minute masterpiece, a computer aged Lord of the Flies. The writing is taut, vivid, cool, scary and often funny" The Times (London)
