Teachers' Workshop

Students are not the only ones who benefit from participation in the Primary Proms. Teachers also receive the opportunity for professional development by attending the Primary Proms Teachers' Workshop.

Primary Proms

In 2010, the Teachers' Workshop will be held at the Conservatorium of Music, Macquarie Street, Sydney on Thursday 18 February 2010 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Attendance at this workshop is compulsory for all participating teachers. Financial assistance is available for non-metropolitan schools to assist with travel costs. Relief is to be provided by participating schools.

Teachers attending the Teachers' Workshop will receive their teaching CDs and detailed Teachers' Information Book.

By attending the Teachers' Workshop, New Scheme Teachers who are accredited at Professional Competence can contribute five hours towards Teacher Identified Professional Development.

For information concerning the financial assistance available to country teachers, or any other aspect of the Primary Proms Festival, please contact Ian Jefferson, Concerts Coordinator at The Arts Unit, on 8512 1181 or email Ian.Jefferson@det.nsw.edu.au.
