In 2008, the NSW Department of Education and Training will present the sixth annual Primary Proms. The four concerts will feature combined Year 3 and 4 primary school choirs of 350 voices as well as outstanding individual school items. All performances will be held at The Hills Centre for the Performing Arts in Castle Hill.
Following the success of the Primary Schools Choral Festival at the Sydney Opera House, the Primary Proms will target students and choirs from Years 3 and 4. The repertoire will feature partner songs, unison singing and 2 part songs.
The concerts also feature individual items from infant school ensembles through to Year 12 performances.
All primary schools are invited to be a part of this Festival and to enter choirs of up to 30 students from Years 3 and 4 capable of singing in two parts. Schools are selected for one performance only.
Use the navigation button on the left of this page for information on how to lodge an application for these wonderful concerts. Schools are selected for one performance only.
