Individual items are the performances that add further variety and interest to the Festival of Instrumental Music. Your school soloist or group, or groups that combine students from a number of schools, are invited to lodge an application to perform in the Festival as an individual item. Your item may be a soloist, string quartet, concert band, percussion ensemble or a vocal group. All primary and secondary schools are encouraged to submit outstanding vocal and/or instrumental groups or soloists for inclusion in the Festival of Instrumental Music.
Auditions for individual items are by DVD or video. To nominate an individual item from your school, you must download and complete the Individual Item Application Form and lodge it at The Arts Unit by the due date (Thursday 1 April 2010). Use the link below to download the necessary form. (Please note: downloadable material on the site can be accessed using Adobe Acrobat Reader which is available to download free from www.adobe.com)
