Participation Fees

Participation fees are a contribution by members towards the ongoing operation of all Arts Unit ensembles. In 2010, the fee for the Millennium Marching Band is $290.00 (includes GST). Fees are due once an offered place in the Millennium Marching Band has been accepted, and are only refundable upon application.

Other Costs

Apart from their participation fee, students will also be required to purchase some uniform items. Costs for these items are very reasonable. The only other costs associated with the Band may include the following:

• optional costs (e.g. meals and accommodation at camps);
• personal equipment costs (sticks/mallets etc.);
• some small levies for costumes/travel at events such as the Schools Spectacular.

At all times, The Arts Unit aims to minimise the costs to students. To assist students in meeting their financial commitments, fundraising activities are organised by the Band Boosters (our wonderful parent support team). Other avenues also exist to assist those facing financial hardship.

Students wishing to join the Millennium Marching Band in 2010 should not let the issue of fees be the reason not to apply.
