The Millennium Marching Band will hold its June rehearsal and Band Birthday celebrations over the period Saturday 6 to Monday 9 June 2009 inclusive.  Detailed information concerning these activities is outlined below.  Please read the schedule carefully and ensure that all necessary paperwork is lodge by Wednesday 3 June 2009.

Venue

The June rehearsal will be held at Cumberland High School, Dunmore Avenue, Carlingford.  Please use the link below to download a map.

8:30 am	Cumberland High School opens
9:00 am - 9:30 am	Registration
9:30 am - 12:30 pm	Morning rehearsals - Wicked Part 3
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm	Lunch
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm	Afternoon rehearsals - Wicked Part 3
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm	Pack-up
4:00 pm	Dismiss - Go home and dress up for the ball!!!

9:00 am	Cumberland High School opens
9:30 am - 10:00 am	Registration
10:00 am - 12:30 pm	Morning rehearsals - Wicked Part 3
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm	Lunch
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm	Afternoon rehearsals - Wicked Parts 1 and 2 revision
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm	Pack-up

8:30 am	Cumberland High School opens - breakfast (egg and bacon rolls) served
9:00 am - 9:30 am	Registration
9:30 am - 1:30 pm	Morning rehearsals - Full revision of Wicked
1:30 pm - 2:00 pm	Performance Preparation
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm	Late Lunch (Sausage Sizzle) - Dont forget cakes for cake stall!
3:00 pm - 3:30 pm	Performance (Black shoes, black socks, black pants, black belt, black Arts Unit shirt and red tie
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm	Pack-up
4:00 pm	Dismiss

Rehearsal Preparation

Students should attend rehearsals with the following music prepared:

• Wicked Parts 1, 2 and 3

The focus of this rehearsal will be the finalisation field show preparations.  Your attendance is required!

Accommodation

This rehearsal activity will NOT be residential.  Billet accommodation will be organised for students requiring accommodation.  Billets will not be arranged for students lodging their paperwork after the due date (Wednesday 3 June 2009).

Band members are welcome to make their own private accommodation arrangements with other Band members.  No paperwork is required if you make your own arrangements.  Please contact Sue Hill by email at Susan.Hill2@det.nsw.edu.au  if you need contact details for a friend in Band.

Meals

The Millennium Marching Band Boosters will be providing lunches daily for those students who wish to purchase a meal.

 

The menu will consist of ham, chicken or cheese salad rolls for $3.00 each.  Please pre-order on the Parental Consent Form (see below).

 

School Canteen facilities will NOT be available at Cumberland High School.

Travel

All travel to and from rehearsals is the responsibility of individual players.  Arrangements can be made to assist country students travelling to Sydney get to their final destination.  Players requiring assistance with travel must contact Sue Hill at The Arts Unit by email atSusan.Hill2@det.nsw.edu.au to make suitable arrangements.  Similar assistance will be available to assist students in getting to their departure point at the conclusion of scheduled rehearsals.

Music

Music packages will be issued at this rehearsal for those who have not yet received them.

Paperwork

All students participating in this performance are required to lodge a Parental Consent Form.  Please use the link below to download the Form.  Completed Parental Consent forms should be lodged at The Arts Unit NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY 3 JUNE 2009.
