Rehearsals

Rehearsals for the Millennium Marching Band are held approximately once every month and are mostly confined to weekends, public holidays and school vacation periods to minimise time away from school. Monthly rehearsals also make it possible for country students to become members of the Band.

Rehearsals are generally scheduled to coincide with major performances and events. In order to make the most of our time together (particularly for country students who at times travel up to 12 hours just to get to Sydney), rehearsals are generally held for a full weekend.

Rehearsals are generally held in Sydney (due to country transport networks) which does mean that country students will have to travel regularly. To assist those students from outside Sydney, metropolitan families have a strong tradition of providing billet accommodation when required. We'll also happily help you out with your transport arrangements if your coming into Sydney by bus, train, or even plane!
